This government agency is seeking a Senior Adviser – Costs Disputes & Compliance to manage complex consumer and disciplinary complaints within a regulatory environment. Play a critical part in resolving complex consumer complaints and providing expert regulatory guidance to lawyers and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex complaints with a focus on early resolution
- Resolve disputes through conciliation, mediation and formal correspondence
- Interpret and apply relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Provide guidance on practising certificates, registrations, trust accounts and exemption applications
- Prepare determinations, reports and recommendations
- Lead improvement initiatives and mentor team members
About You
- Substantial experience in dispute or complaint management
- Strong ability to interpret and apply legislation
- Sound understanding of legal practice regulation in Victoria
- High level of computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
Desirable:
- Law degree
- Mediator accreditation
