About the role?

The Security Team Lead – Supply Chain Security is responsible for coordinating the effective implementation of security arrangements for ASC’s supply chain across all areas. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance and direction to stakeholders across functions relating to industry and supply chain security, including Security incidents involving suppliers.
  • Maintain security strategy, policies and practices in coherence with requirements.
  • Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders including Commonwealth, Industry Partners and the general supply chain.
  • Communicate and support the vision for security policy.
  • Advise industry partners in relation to the DISP, DSPF and other relevant government policies and provide coherence with Security processes.
  • Ensure that the team develop an in-depth understanding of the Security Classification Categorisation Guide (SCCG) in order to provide advice and guidance regarding the marking of information and handling of physical assets.
  • Act as the SME for the business by leveraging the expertise of service providers and external agencies.
  • Recommend appropriate measures to improve the capability and performance of the function to stakeholders.
  • Assess supplier’s suitability in accordance with organisation policy, cyber security requirements and foreign ownership control and influence.
  • Undertake inquiries into foreign connections and ownership and complete assessments and report to Security Risk and Governance Lead.
  • Lead the reviews of supply chain DISP compliance, produce reports with findings and recommendations and manage supplier security database.
  • Coordinate with organisation ICT relating to international industry/supply chain matters and assessments.
  • Provide support to Security Operations team when required and directed.
  • Provide training to areas within the organisation on supply chain Security.
  • Ensure that all relevant policies are updated on current supply chain Security requirements as needed.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Defence or similar environment with a particular focus on Defence security policies and high attention to detail
  • Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain NV2 clearance in the future
  • Eligible to meet International Traffic of Arms (ITAR) regulations
  • Experience and knowledge in compliance, assurance and governance frameworks
  • In-depth knowledge of Physical, Personnel and Information security policy requirements in relation to Defence
