A well-known Australian enterprise organisation is seeking a Security Engineer with strong SIEM and cyber operations experience to join their team on an initial twelve-month program engagement.

Joining a high-profile cyber security program focused on the use of AI technologies within cyber security, the successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing development, integration, and optimisation of the organisation’s security operations platform. Working within a collaborative security team, you will leverage your strong Security Operations and SIEM expertise to enhance threat detection capabilities, drive security tool integrations, and support the AI-enabled infrastructure that underpins modern security operations.

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry certifications
  • Proven experience in Security Operations, SIEM engineering, or security platform engineering within large and complex environments
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Azure, KQL, or other enterprise SIEM platforms
  • Hands-on experience with log ingestion, source onboarding, normalisation, and log pipeline management
  • Experience integrating security technologies including EDR, XDR, cloud security, email security, threat intelligence, and related platforms
  • Strong understanding of API integrations, connectors, Event Hub, and security tooling interoperability
  • Experience with Python scripting, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform or Bicep
  • Experience building or supporting SOAR workflows, automation, and security orchestration capabilities
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
