Security Consultant / Engineer - Federal Government

Our client is currently on the lookout for an experienced Security Engineer to drive the development and implementation of an enterprise-level set of security applications (Logging, Vulnerability, MFA, AAA) within an Operational Support System (OSS). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and is capable of translating client requirements and desired policies and controls from the Security team into technical solutions.

Requirements:

  • 7-10+ years’ experience working in as a Security Engineer/Consultant with a good understanding of deploying security products and services to achieve program and client milestones
  • Tertiary Education in IT or Engineering
  • Good understanding of Information Security Manual (ISM)
  • Experience with SIEM, PAM, Endpoint protection, and other network scanning applications / tools including Splunk, Logzilla, Rapid7, Nesus, Tanium, CyberArc, Imprivata, Cisco Endpoint Protection, Airlock Digital, SentinelOne, Symantex, etc
  • Ability to perform enterprise security access control, baseline configuration management, and system performance testing to ensure compliance to requirements
  • Manage and maintain enterprise configuration and provide internal and external (client) technical support
  • Managing and/or conducting network scanning and analysis of vulnerabilities and mitigation plan
  • Must be Australian citizen with the ability to undergo and obtain Australian Defence security clearance to NV1
