SAP HR/Payroll Functional Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP HR Payroll Control Centre (PCC) Functional Analyst to support a major government program focused on the implementation, optimisation, and enhancement of SAP HR/Payroll systems. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the likelihood of extension and requires Australian Citizenship as it is a federal government program.

This role will play a key part in delivering payroll transformation initiatives, working across system configuration, process optimisation, and stakeholder engagement to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and optimise SAP Payroll Control Centre (PCC) including validation rules, policies, KPIs, and dashboards
  • Support SAP HR/Payroll modules (PA, OM, Time, Payroll) within an ECC 6.0 environment
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications for PCC enhancements and integrations
  • Optimise pre- and post-payroll validation processes using PCC automation
  • Support integration between SAP Payroll and external systems (e.g. rostering, finance, identity systems)
  • Conduct root cause analysis and resolve payroll-related issues
  • Develop and execute test plans, scripts, and UAT activities
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder engagement, and end-user training
  • Provide expert advice to HR and payroll teams on PCC capabilities and best practices

Key Requirements

  • 8+ years SAP HR/Payroll experience, including ECC 6.0 configuration
  • Hands-on experience implementing or supporting SAP Payroll Control Centre (PCC)
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, legislation, and compliance requirements
  • Experience configuring PCC validation rules, policies, and monitoring processes
  • Ability to develop functional specifications and work closely with technical teams
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience working across complex, enterprise-level SAP environments

Desirable Experience

  • Exposure to SAP SuccessFactors or hybrid HR environments
  • Experience with SAP Fiori, CPI, PI/PO, or integration tools
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Spinifex Easy Reporter
