The Role

As the SAP FICO Functional Consultant, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, support and optimisation of SAP Finance and Controlling solutions across a multi-entity environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial processes remain reliable, compliant and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP FICO modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Centre Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Centres and Product Costing.
• Maintain and enhance multi-company finance structures including company codes, ledgers, charts of accounts, currencies, tax configuration and intercompany processes.
• Support month-end and year-end financial close activities, reporting, reconciliations and issue resolution.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP functional solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration between SAP FICO and modules including MM, Procurement, Sales, Plant Maintenance, Projects, Payroll and external systems.
• Provide advanced functional support, root cause analysis and resolution of complex SAP issues.
• Contribute to SAP projects, upgrades and enhancements including functional specifications, configuration, testing and user training.
• Ensure solutions meet governance, audit, security and compliance requirements.
• Build strong relationships with Finance stakeholders, technical teams and external delivery partners.

About You

You’ll bring strong SAP Finance functional consulting experience together with the ability to partner effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.

Ideally you’ll have experience with:

• Extensive SAP FICO functional configuration experience within SAP ECC (S/4HANA exposure advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting and Controlling processes.
• Experience supporting multi-company, multi-currency and complex finance environments.
• End-to-end project experience across requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing and deployment.
• Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting and finance process optimisation.
• Experience integrating SAP FICO with other SAP modules including MM, PM, SD and Payroll.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience working within governance, audit and change management frameworks.
