SAP Business Analyst - Federal Government
- 18 month ongoing contract to work on a SAP ECC / S4HANA transformation

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced SAP Procurement Business Analyst to support the optimisation, enhancement, and ongoing delivery of procurement processes across the SAP landscape. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical specialists to ensure procurement solutions are aligned with organisational needs and deliver measurable value.
The successful candidate will play a key role in requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design, testing, and continuous improvement across SAP MM, Ariba, and related procurement modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with procurement, finance, and operational stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into SAP functional specifications.
- Analyse, design, and optimise procurement processes across SAP MM, Ariba, and integrated modules.
- Support configuration, testing, and deployment of procurement system enhancements and new functionality.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, functional specifications, and user guides.
- Lead or support UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.
- Provide subject matter expertise on SAP procurement capabilities, best practices, and system impacts.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful integration, data quality, and system performance.
- Support change management activities including training, communications, and stakeholder engagement.
- Troubleshoot procurement system issues and provide ongoing operational support.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst working with SAP Procurement modules (SAP MM essential; Ariba highly desirable).
- Strong understanding of procurement processes including sourcing, purchasing, contracts, vendor management, and invoicing.
- Experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and functional documentation.
- Hands?on experience with SAP configuration or the ability to work closely with functional consultants.
- Strong analytical and problem?solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into system solutions.
- Experience supporting testing cycles (SIT, UAT) and managing defects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
