Salesforce Technical Designer
About the Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Salesforce Technical Designer to join a large, multi-year Salesforce transformation program within the federal government sector.
This role focuses on designing and documenting robust, scalable Salesforce solutions that meet complex business and technical requirements. You’ll collaborate with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure designs are fit for purpose, secure, and aligned with platform best practices.
This opportunity is open only to Australian Citizens, as it requires eligibility for Baseline security clearance.
Key Responsibilities

Author detailed Salesforce technical design documents covering visual, functional, and integration aspects.

Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Produce high-level and detailed designs, ensuring alignment with system architecture and Salesforce standards.

Work with developers to design and implement integrations between Salesforce and other systems.

Present technical designs and prototypes for stakeholder review and sign-off.

Apply Agile and iterative design practices, contributing to design cycles and team collaboration.
Skills & Experience

Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Service Cloud.

Proven experience with Apex, LWC (Lightning Web Components), and Salesforce OmniStudio.

Proficiency in Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS), Flows, and Lightning App Builder.

Deep understanding of Salesforce data modelling, security, and sharing rules.

Knowledge of UX/UI principles and experience working with design tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with clear communication and documentation abilities.

Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I or Platform App Builder are highly regarded.

Experience with Salesforce integrations (MuleSoft, APIs) or data migration preferred.

Must be an Australian Citizen eligible for Baseline clearance.
