Salesforce Lead // API experience

Our client is looking for a Salesforce Lead to join the company. They are seeking an experienced Salesforce Lead with strong expertise in API integration to lead their Salesforce development and integration initiatives. This role will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end Salesforce solution delivery, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring seamless integration with external and internal systems via APIs.

You will play a key role in driving innovation, ensuring platform scalability, and implementing best practices in Salesforce configuration, custom development, and integration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and other Salesforce products.

  • Manage and mentor Salesforce developers and administrators, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.

  • Design and oversee API integrations between Salesforce and third-party/internal applications (REST, SOAP, Middleware).

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

  • Ensure Salesforce platform governance, security compliance, and data integrity.

  • Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and optimise performance of Salesforce solutions.

  • Drive adoption of DevOps practices for Salesforce (CI/CD pipelines, automated testing).

  • Manage the Salesforce release cycle, sandbox management, and deployment processes.

  • Keep up-to-date with Salesforce releases, new features, and integration trends to recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in Salesforce development and configuration.

  • Proven experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) and middleware tools (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Jitterbit, etc.).

  • Strong expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL/SOSL queries.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to design scalable, high-performance solutions.

  • Salesforce Platform Developer or equivalent certifications highly desirable.

  • Experience in Financial Services Cloud or Industry-specific Salesforce products – Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.

  • Exposure to other CRM systems and migration projects.
