About the Role:

We’re seeking a skilled Salesforce Automation Engineer with strong experience in Node.js and Salesforce CLI plugin development. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for designing and implementing automation solutions to improve environment provisioning processes for a major federal government client.

This is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact projects focused on eliminating manual steps and enhancing DevOps capabilities in a modern Salesforce environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automation using Salesforce CLI plugins or Node.js applications to streamline Salesforce sandbox provisioning.
  • Evaluate and apply the most optimal automation approaches – UI, API, or existing tooling integrations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during build iterations.
  • Contribute to the roadmap for rapid environment provisioning and platform automation.
  • Support the integration of scripts/applications into a CI/CD pipeline.

Essential Criteria:

  1. Proven experience building Salesforce CLI plugins to automate environment provisioning.
  2. Hands-on experience using Salesforce Tooling API in Node.js (JavaScript or TypeScript).
  3. Familiarity with Salesforce plugins like sfdx-hardis and browserforce.
  4. 2-3 years’ experience in full-stack development using Node.js and frameworks such as React, Vue, or Next.js.
  5. Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders.
  6. Passion for automation and improving developer workflows through tooling.

  • Enthusiasm for quality-driven development and test automation.
  • Understanding of accessible design and inclusive development practices.
