Short Description:
We are seeking an accomplished Sales Director for our clients Infrastructure Services division to lead strategic initiatives in both existing and new accounts. This pivotal role involves driving large-scale infrastructure outsourcing deals, collaborating with advisors, and spearheading technical solution development to cultivate strong client relationships. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire large deal process while partnering closely with Vertical Engagement Managers to target accounts for significant opportunities and working with CIS delivery teams to ensure optimal service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Nurture and expand existing accounts while aggressively pursuing new account opportunities within targeted sectors.
- Deal Leadership: Take charge of large infrastructure outsourcing deals by engaging effectively with customers, advisors, and vertical teams, ensuring alignment between client needs and our service capabilities.
- Solution Development: Lead the creation of innovative and value-added technical solutions in response to Infrastructure RFIs/RFPs and proactive pursuits, ensuring that proposals meet and exceed client expectations.
- Technical Guidance: Serve as the client’s trusted technical advisor for Cloud and Infrastructure service solutions, providing insights that enhance client engagement and decision-making.
- Presentation and Transition Activities: Conduct client presentations and facilitate due diligence and transition processes for new engagements, ensuring seamless project initiation and alignment with client goals.
- Resource Coordination: Assemble and manage the necessary resources and skills to develop comprehensive technical proposals, ensuring all aspects of the solution are addressed.
- Opportunity Qualification & Risk Assessment: Assist in assessing opportunities and related risks, ensuring informed decision-making and resource allocation.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15-18 years of experience in Infrastructure Management, Operations, or Technology Consulting, with at least 10 years in a Cloud and Infrastructure sales capacity.
- Expertise in one or more Infrastructure disciplines (e.g., Networking, Datacentre Design, Storage) and significant experience in a leadership role (e.g., CTO, Director) within Infrastructure Management/Operations or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Strong understanding of various Infrastructure technologies and the ability to clearly articulate the advantages and challenges of different technology options.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Infrastructure project management practices and the infrastructure/Datacentre outsourcing landscape.
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to relate technology solutions to client business processes.
Mandatory Technology Exposure:
- Demonstrated broad expertise in core Infrastructure technology areas, including Systems Management, Operations, Database Management, Network Management, and Datacentre Solutions.
- Hands-on experience with complex outsourcing engagements, demonstrating successful interactions at the VP Infrastructure, CTO, and CIO levels.
Domain Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of at least one core Infrastructure domain and the current trends impacting the industry.
- Familiarity with IT Services landscape and the nuances of managing delivery and sales in a technology-driven business environment.
- Strong analytical capabilities to assess, strategize, and execute upon infrastructure service initiatives.
