Ruby on Rails Developer / Canvas LMS Specialist
Adelaide, SA
Initial 3-month contract (with potential extension)

We are partnering with a leading organisation in the education sector seeking a Ruby on Rails Developer and/or Canvas LMS Specialist to support key initiatives within their digital learning environment.

This role is ideal for a developer with strong Ruby experience, a Canvas LMS specialist, or someone with a blend of both. You will play a critical role in enhancing platform capabilities, supporting integrations, and improving overall system performance.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience developing with Ruby (Ruby on Rails or similar frameworks), and/or
  • Strong functional and technical experience with Canvas LMS administration/support
  • Proven experience working with APIs and system integrations
  • Ability to analyse requirements and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications and services using Ruby
  • Support and extend integrations with the Canvas LMS platform
  • Work with REST/SOAP APIs to integrate systems
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance platform functionality and user experience
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve existing tools and integrations
