About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Risk Management Lead to play a key role in shaping and strengthening enterprise risk capability within a complex, purpose-driven organisation.

Reporting to the Manager, Assurance, Risk and Integrity, this role provides strategic leadership and expert advice across enterprise, operational, and project risk. A key focus of this position will be supporting the integration of risk management into the FY27 annual planning process, ensuring risk is embedded into organisational strategy and decision-making.

You will:

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of the organisation’s risk management framework
  • Embed risk management practices into strategic and operational decision-making, including the FY27 planning cycle
  • Build organisational capability and promote a strong, proactive risk culture
  • Provide expert advice and reporting to senior executives and governance committees
  • Monitor emerging risks and trends to inform planning and resource allocation
  • Collaborate across audit, compliance, and assurance functions to ensure integrated risk oversight

About You

  • Strong experience with government risk frameworks (Victorian Government experience highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate risk management into organisational planning processes
  • Experience developing and implementing risk frameworks, tools, and reporting processes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
