Remuneration & Benefits Lead

We are seeking an experienced Remuneration & Benefits Lead to take ownership of the end-to-end reward function within a large, complex organisation.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for designing and managing remuneration frameworks, leading annual review cycles, and providing strategic advice to senior stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring remuneration practices are competitive, compliant, and aligned to business objectives.

The position offers a high level of autonomy, working closely with leadership while taking ownership of critical processes and outcomes.
It also supports a key annual remuneration cycle aligned to the calendar year, requiring full availability between October and February, which is the peak delivery period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and management of remuneration frameworks, salary structures, and incentive programs
  • Deliver the annual remuneration review cycle, including Board and executive reporting
  • Conduct salary benchmarking, market analysis, and pay equity reviews
  • Provide expert advice to senior stakeholders on remuneration strategy and decisions
  • Manage and optimise employee benefits programs and external provider relationships
  • Support enterprise agreement and industrial relations activities through data and insights
  • Oversee systems and reporting across SAP / SuccessFactors
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, governance, and reporting requirements

Key Requirements

  • Extensive experience in remuneration and benefits, ideally in a complex or unionised environment
  • Strong experience managing end-to-end remuneration review cycles
  • Advanced analytical capability with strong Excel and data interpretation skills
  • Experience working with HRIS systems (SAP / SuccessFactors preferred)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with executive leadership
  • Experience with job evaluation methodologies (e.g. Korn Ferry Hay)
  • Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and remuneration frameworks
