About the Role
Are you an experienced Release Manager looking to make a meaningful impact? This is an exciting opportunity to join a transformative project that supports the delivery of critical systems and services. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless coordination, integrated planning, and proactive management of release-related risks, contributing to a better future for Australians.
Your duties will include:
- Establishing and maintaining release management processes in collaboration with stakeholders
- Managing release schedules to align with technical dependencies, business priorities, and compliance requirements
- Conducting release impact assessments and ensuring successful coordination and execution of releases
- Overseeing readiness criteria and go/no-go checkpoints in partnership with business and technology teams
- Driving continuous improvement and automation within release management processes
- Reporting on release status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions to stakeholders
Skills and Experience we are looking for:
- Proven experience in establishing and managing Release Management processes in enterprise business systems
- Expertise in delivering systems based on contemporary platforms and architectures with high levels of integration
- Strong knowledge of project management, software development, testing, and governance frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to drive automation and streamline workflows within release management processes
- Experience in assessing risks related to hotfixes and rollback scenarios
- Previous Release Management experience in a Federal Government environment
