    About the Role
    We’re partnering with an ASX 300 listed organization seeking a Python Developer to join on a 6-month contract. This is a hands-on opportunity to work within a small, high-impact engineering team delivering cloud-native solutions on AWS.

    You’ll play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining backend services and automation, while working closely with both technical peers and business stakeholders. This role suits someone who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and having a real voice in technical decisions.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Develop and maintain Python-based services and data pipelines in AWS
    • Design and implement CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions
    • Build scalable, reliable solutions across a variety of AWS services
    • Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
    • Contribute to architecture and design discussions, bringing your own perspective

    Technical Skills

    • Strong proficiency in Python development
    • Proven experience with AWS services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB (AWS Batch a bonus)
    • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
    • Comfortable working across serverless, event-driven, and traditional architectures
    • Solid understanding of cloud networking fundamentals

    • Confident in forming and articulating technical opinions
    • Willing to challenge ideas constructively and advocate for better solutions
    • Comfortable working autonomously in a small team environment
    • Strong communication skills – able to engage effectively with non-technical stakeholders
    • Pragmatic and delivery-focused, balancing quality with speed

    Nice to Have

    • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
    • Exposure to monitoring, logging, and observability practices
    • Background in contracting or consulting environments with stakeholder engagement
