About the role:
We are seeking an APS5 Project Officer to support project, performance and operational activities within a fast-paced, data-driven environment. Reporting to an APS6, this role will suit someone who enjoys working across reporting, analysis, stakeholder engagement and project coordination.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support project and program delivery, monitoring activities against plans
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, executive briefs and written updates
  • Assist with quality assurance to ensure project deliverables meet business needs
  • Undertake research, data analysis and performance reporting
  • Analyse and present data using Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
  • Contribute to branch reporting, tracking outcomes and identifying trends
  • Prepare communication materials and present insights and recommendations
  • Respond to stakeholder enquiries and work collaboratively across teams
  • Manage competing priorities with minimal supervision

Skills & experience

  • Experience in a Project Officer, Project Support, Program Support or similar role
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis)
  • Ability to translate data and technical information into clear written and verbal communication
  • Proven ability to manage workload independently in a dynamic environment
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills

Desirable:

  • Public sector or government experience (APS preferred)
  • Exposure to NDIA / NDIS, PACE, SAP CRM, Salesforce analytics or JIRA
  • Experience in performance reporting, quality assurance or continuous improvement
