Project Manager- Transmission
Our client is looking for a Project Manager to join a leading electricity network organisation and support the delivery of major transmission projects.
This role will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved across scope, time, cost, quality, and safety. You will work closely with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive successful project outcomes across complex infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of transmission and sub-transmission projects
- Take ownership of project scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality outcomes
- Lead project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery
- Manage tendering, procurement, and contract administration processes
- Monitor and report on project performance, forecasting, and financials
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and variations
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Key Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience delivering transmission, sub-transmission, or distribution projects within the energy sector
- Strong understanding of project management frameworks (PMBOK or similar)
- Demonstrated experience managing contractors, stakeholders, and project teams
- Strong financial, commercial, and risk management capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects
- Commercially aware with a focus on delivery outcomes
