Senior Project Manager – Integrated Planning and Schedule Consolidation

8-week initial contract | ASAP start

The Scale team keeps growing and we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to come join us and help one of our clients review, stabilise and consolidate multiple delivery plans into one credible and executable program roadmap.

This short-term assignment requires a seasoned Project Manager strong with scheduling who can quickly understand a complex transformation environment, challenge assumptions and establish greater confidence in delivery sequencing, dependencies, milestones and critical-path activities.

The engagement

  • Eight-week initial contract

  • Immediate start

  • Docklands, Melbourne

  • Four days in the office and one day working from home

Key responsibilities

  • Review existing project and workstream plans.

  • Assess the quality, accuracy and completeness of current schedules.

  • Challenge assumptions, milestones, dependencies and delivery sequencing.

  • Facilitate planning workshops with project managers, workstream leads and business stakeholders.

  • Consolidate multiple plans into a single integrated delivery schedule.

  • Identify gaps, overlaps, risks and resource constraints.

  • Define and validate cross-workstream dependencies.

  • Establish the critical path and key delivery checkpoints.

  • Recommend improvements to planning quality and delivery confidence.

  • Develop an effective executive reporting view.

  • Present findings and recommendations to program and executive stakeholders.

  • Document governance requirements for maintaining the integrated schedule.

About you

You will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex business or technology projects.

  • Strong project-planning and delivery-management capability.

  • Experience developing integrated project or program schedules.

  • The ability to assess project health, delivery risk and schedule credibility.

  • Experience working across multiple interconnected workstreams.

  • Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder-engagement skills.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability.

  • Confidence constructively challenging assumptions and delivery dates.

  • Strong executive communication, reporting and presentation skills.

Highly regarded

  • Experience within major transformation programs.

  • Experience consolidating multiple project plans into a master roadmap.

  • Exposure to construction management, ERP or enterprise transformation initiatives.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or comparable planning tools.

What success looks like

By the end of the assignment, the organisation should have:

  • One agreed and integrated program schedule.

  • A validated critical path and delivery sequence.

  • Clearly documented cross-workstream dependencies.

  • Identified planning gaps and delivery risks with mitigation recommendations.

  • A fit-for-purpose executive reporting view.

  • A documented governance model for maintaining the schedule.
