Project Manager - Network Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (Network Infrastructure) to play a pivotal role in strengthening and modernising this leading University’s technology environment. This is a high-impact opportunity to lead critical network infrastructure initiatives that reduce cyber risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance the resilience of digital services.

As Project Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of key network infrastructure initiatives, applying Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches to achieve cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of three network remediation initiatives scheduled for 2026
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, resourcing, risk, and budget
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across IT, cybersecurity, business units, and external partners
  • Identify, manage, and resolve project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating where required
  • Provide clear, insightful reporting through PPM tools, dashboards, and executive presentations
  • Ensure project outcomes directly contribute to reducing cybersecurity and operational risk
  • Support procurement activities including vendor evaluations, SOWs, and contract management

Experience & Skills

  • Demonstrated experience delivering infrastructure projects involving network changes
  • Experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies, enabling effective collaboration with technical teams and vendors
  • Solid understanding of network and cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and terminology
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in complex stakeholder environments
  • Strong capability across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as PPM platforms, MS Project, JIRA, and Confluence
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience managing vendors, contracts, SOWs, and commercial deliverables
  • Experience in an Australian tertiary education environment highly regarded
