Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to join a major long-term technology transformation program. Reporting to the GM of IT Service Delivery and working alongside an established technology team, you will play a key role in leading multiple smaller projects from conception through to implementation.

The Role
You will be responsible for leading the planning and delivery of multiple projects in a PMO environment, and your duties may include:

  • Preparing and managing project plans, schedules, budgets and reporting
  • Driving delivery strategies across a multi-year technology transformation
  • Managing project governance in line with recognised delivery frameworks, preferably PMBOK
  • Coordinating delivery across multiple business units and technology teams
  • Managing relationships with key vendors and external partners
  • Supporting the transition from a monolithic application environment to a modern engineering platform
  • Identifying risks, dependencies and issues, and ensuring appropriate mitigation plans are in place
  • Engaging with senior stakeholders, management and delivery teams across the organisation
  • There may be a requirement for some travel to interstate offices if needed

About You
You will be a seasoned Project Manager with strong experience leading complex technical transformation programs. You will bring:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing and leading technical projects
  • Proven experience delivering a variety of projects in a PMO environment, including ability to manage concurrent projects where required
  • Diverse technical project experience covering multiple technology domains
  • Experience working in large, complex, highly regulated organisations
  • Strong project management capability within a recognised delivery framework, ideally PMBOK
  • Experience with SCRUM/Agile delivery environments would be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated leadership in diverse, challenging and high-contact environments
  • Strong stakeholder, vendor and budget management skills
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience
  • The ability and willingness to travel interstate when required

Important Information
This is a 12-month initial contract based in the Melbourne CBD, with a requirement to work 4 days per week in the office due to the level of stakeholder engagement involved.

The successful candidate will need to complete required probity checks and a national police check prior to commencement.
