Location: Brisbane, CBD
Contract: until 30th October 2026 + potential extension
Rate: $1030.75 per day inc. super
About the Role:
As the Project Manager, you will play a leadership role in driving the end-to-end delivery of the Windows 11 rollout, ensuring robust project governance, effective coordination of organisational change initiatives, and alignment with project delivery methodologies. You will maintain a strong focus on customer and stakeholder engagement, ensuring the project meets organisational needs and delivers a seamless transition to Windows 11.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of the Windows 11 Project, ensuring the successful upgrade of all relevant systems and devices to the Windows 11 operating system.
- Develop and manage the project plan, ensuring delivery is aligned with agreed timelines, schedules, budgets, scope, and quality parameters.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including internal teams, business units, and external vendors, to ensure effective communication, negotiation, and collaboration to meet project deadlines.
- Identify and address project issues, risks, and challenges in consultation with stakeholders, implementing appropriate controls and mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Executive and Board, advising on any deviations from the agreed plan that exceed set tolerances and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure all devices and systems meet compatibility and security requirements for Windows 11, including testing and validation processes.
- Oversee the development and delivery of training and support materials to ensure a smooth transition for end-users.
Required Experience:
- Demonstrable skills in managing project scope, budget, and schedules.
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale IT upgrade projects, particularly operating system migrations.
- Strong understanding of Windows 11 deployment, compatibility assessments, and security configurations.
- Ability to deliver projects under strong governance frameworks at both project and program board levels.
- Proven project delivery experience using Prince2/Agile methodologies in a large organisation.
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating resources effectively.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Planner, and DevOps.
