ICT Project Manager

  • Baseline clearance required
  • ACT based location – hybrid working arrangements available
  • 12 month contract + 2 x 12 month extension options

Overview of the Position
We are seeking experienced Project Managers to deliver multiple projects across corporate applications, infrastructure platforms, software development, and more. This role requires a dynamic individual with proven expertise in managing and delivering large and complex ICT projects, working across various delivery methodologies, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage the delivery of departmental projects following established project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, Agile, SAFe, hybrid).
  • Provide leadership and guidance to multi-disciplinary project teams, third-party vendors, and departmental teams to ensure project success.
  • Undertake project governance, including project initiation and closure, scope and schedule management, reporting to Senior Executives and governance bodies, budget and financial management, and active risk and issue management.
  • Deliver capability across broader programs of work as directed by the department and/or Project Management Office.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Extensive project management experience in delivering large and/or complex ICT projects, with the ability to work across multiple projects and adapt to various delivery methodologies (e.g., waterfall, Agile, SAFe, Prince2, MSP).
  • Proven capability in managing all aspects of a project, including initiation and closure, scope and schedule, budget and financial management, reporting to governance bodies, and active risk and issue management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead multi-disciplinary teams, foster a collaborative team culture, and manage third-party vendors and contracts effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, including experience developing and presenting board papers and briefing materials, building relationships with diverse stakeholders, and handling ambiguity and conflicting priorities under pressure.
  • Experience delivering large corporate software projects, such as ERP implementations.
  • SAFe Agile and/or Scrum Master qualifications.
  • Project management qualifications and certifications.
