Position Overview
We are seeking multiple experienced ICT Project Managers to join a dynamic team delivering a range of projects within a significant ICT program of work. This is a 12-month contract with possible extensions, based onsite in the ACT. The successful candidates will independently manage all facets of a small set of projects, reporting to a program manager. This role involves planning and managing project delivery, including procurement, resource management, stakeholder coordination, communication, reporting, and governance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of a small set of projects using established project management methodologies.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including senior executives, to plan and manage projects successfully.
  • Ensure projects align with strategic directives.
  • Undertake project governance activities such as project initiation, transition to business-as-usual (BAU), and closure.
  • Manage scope, schedule, and delivery timeframes.
  • Report and present to Senior Executives, Program/Project Boards, and other governance bodies.
  • Oversee budget and financial management and reporting.
  • Actively manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Proven experience working with senior executives to shape outcomes and deliver complex ICT projects. Ability to monitor, track, and report on deliverables, schedules, costs, quality metrics, and financials. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage competing priorities with attention to detail.
  • Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills, including effective communication and negotiation with diverse stakeholders, and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with technical professionals and team members.
  • Ability to establish priorities, frameworks, and methodologies to deliver quality outcomes. Experience adhering to tools, templates, and processes, and delivering projects using methodologies such as Prince2, MSP, Agile, SAFe, or Hybrid. Experience assisting with project-related financial processes is also required.
