The role

Our Client is embarking on an uplift as their existing telephony platform reaches end-of-life. This major, multi-year program will modernise their core communications capability

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the initial phase of the Telephony Replacement Program, with a key focus on delivering a comprehensive Request for Tender (RFT) to select the future telephony vendor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the early-stage planning, scoping and delivery of the telephony replacement project.
  • Manage and coordinate the full RFT process including documentation, governance, evaluation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Work closely with ICT, operations and emergency communications teams to ensure requirements and risks are clearly defined.
  • Prepare project artefacts including project plans, schedules, reports and risk registers.
  • Engage with vendors, procurement teams and government stakeholders to support a compliant and transparent tender process.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven Project Management experience within telephony/communications infrastructure projects (essential).
  • Strong understanding of telephony platforms, lifecycle management, and vendor engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to an RFT / procurement process within a complex environment.
  • Victorian Government or broader public sector experience (highly desirable).
  • Excellent stakeholder management, documentation and governance capability.
