About the Role

A government organisation is seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver the next-generation Voice Over IP (VOIP) VHF Radio capability as part of a national technology modernisation program.

You will lead the delivery of mission-critical radio projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, efficiently, and within agreed scope, budget, and timeframes. Working closely with engineering and program teams, you’ll help enable a more reliable and connected aviation communications network for the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver VOIP VHF Radio projects in line with scope, time, and budget.
  • Coordinate technical and engineering resources across multiple teams.
  • Plan and manage rollout of radio services across Australia.
  • Oversee testing and integration of end-to-end VOIP systems in a regulated environment.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Build effective working relationships with technical experts and stakeholders.

About You

You’re a practical, hands-on project manager who thrives in complex technical environments. You take pride in seeing work through to completion and supporting others to achieve success.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience delivering VOIP, radio, or communication network projects.
  • Strong understanding of mission-critical, high-availability systems.
  • Solid stakeholder engagement and vendor coordination skills.
  • Familiarity with emerging communications technologies (LEO, LTE).
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear, respectful communication and a collaborative approach.

Requirements

  • Australian Citizen (mandatory)
  • Able to obtain and maintain a national security clearance
  • Available to work onsite at least 3 days per week
