Role
Our federal government client is seeking a highly experienced Project manager to lead cross-functional technical solution planning and delivery for new capabilities and features, aligning business priorities with architecture, cybersecurity, support readiness, and system dependencies across ITFG and delivery partners.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Develop the project schedule and maintain the ITFG plan, balancing technical dependencies and business requirements and other priorities.
  • Proactively identify technical risks, user pain points, and operational gaps during the design phase to shape scalable, user centric solutions that reduce technical effort, prevent rework, and minimise post go live defects.
  • Manage delivery partner(s) for system implementation.
  • Act as the technical lead within agile teams, resolving complex cross functional issues working with other internal squads and external agencies, managing scope, and aligning sprint activities to enterprise architecture and product strategy.
  • Represent the project in ITFG ICT Change Management activities and release planning.
  • Ensure ITFG technology standards are met, including cyber assessments, penetration testing, go/no-go gates.

Mandatory skills

  • Experience in Project Management in Federal or State Government environments.
  • Proven experience of 5-8 years in establishing and managing the delivery of complex technical ICT system delivery projects working across Government agencies.
  • Recent experience in, and strong knowledge of, contemporary project management and governance frameworks and methodologies.
  • Ability to translate complex identity or fraud-related business needs into project plans, bridging the gap between business and technical teams
