Talent International is searching for an experienced Project Manager to join our client, a government department based in Brisbane CBD on an 13 Month Contract + Likely Extensions.

The role:

Under the supervision of the Manager of Digital and Data Solutions, this position entails supporting the successful implementation of a new Web Content Management System. Aiding in planning, executing, and delivering products, ensuring they meet high-quality standards and are delivered punctually. Additionally, the role involves coordinating status updates and managing schedule changes for product teams operating within a complex program setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the definition, documentation and successful completion of products within a complex program environment ensuring that appropriate project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained.
  • Work collaboratively across Information Services, implementation partners and other vendors and internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective outcomes and deliverables
  • Identify and provide advice on resolving issues to ensure information, application and infrastructure compatibility and user preparation and readiness relevant to project activities.
  • See products/projects through to completion, monitoring progress and adjusting plans as required. Commit to achieving quality outcomes, that are fit for purpose and ensure appropriate documentation and decisions are maintained and stakeholders’ expectations are met.
  • Work collaboratively and operate as an effective leader and team member involving people, encouraging them and recognising their contribution. Consult and share information and ensures others are kept informed.

    Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience managing a project preferably within a human services environment
  • Awareness and understanding of external assurance through the QGCIO process, and/or with strict multi-layer governance requirements.
  • Experience in end-to-end ICT project management/delivery
  • Demonstrated experience in and exposure to project management methodologies and practices, preferably applying the PRINCE2 and AGILE project management methodologies in a blended manner.
  • Demonstrated collaboration, communication and influencing skills with program/project team members, senior executives and diverse internal and external stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrated leadership and relationship management skills
