Project Engineer (LTE & Radio - Perth - 6 month contract

Job Summary / Overview
This role supports the delivery of telecommunications infrastructure within a rail environment, ensuring technical execution aligns with design, safety and quality standards. The position works closely with rollout teams and stakeholders to deliver site-based installation, integration and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute installation, configuration and integration of radio and transmission systems
  • Ensure compliance with design documentation and approved work instructions
  • Provide technical support and guidance to subcontractors on site
  • Support testing and commissioning activities including SAT and performance testing
  • Manage and track materials including BoM and BOQ updates
  • Monitor site progress and maintain accurate project documentation
  • Identify and escalate technical issues and risks
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate with project teams for site activities and logistics
  • Review quality documentation and ensure defect resolution

Required Qualifications

  • TAFE or degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • RIW Card
  • 3-5 years experience in telecommunications project delivery or site engineering
  • Experience with LTE or 4G technologies and radio access networks
  • Knowledge of construction safety and environmental management
  • Ideally you will have experience of PTA standards with knowledge of Australian standards in Construction and Telecommunications

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and design documentation
  • Understanding of RF principles and electrical systems
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Proficiency in project tools and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and within site-based teams
