Duration: 3 months + 6 month extension

Rate: $80.86 per hour inc super // $646.91 per day inc super (based on 8 hours)

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Coordinator / Project Officer to support the delivery of several significant technology initiatives within a Queensland Government environment based in Brisbane, CBD.

The Role

You will support the Program Manager and wider project teams to keep projects organised, on track and progressing through key delivery milestones.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting project planning, scheduling and monitoring of project activities
  • Coordinating project meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, and tracking actions through to completion
  • Maintaining project governance documentation, reporting and project records
  • Identifying, documenting and monitoring project risks and issues
  • Supporting risk mitigation and escalation activities
  • Coordinating UAT activities, including scheduling sessions, tracking feedback and following up defects
  • Supporting change management and end-user training activities
  • Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors and external government stakeholders
  • Providing broader project and program assurance and coordination support as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Previous experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Officer, Project Support Officer or similar within an IT/ICT or digital project environment
  • Strong project coordination skills across planning, reporting, governance and action tracking
  • Experience using project management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, MS Project or Microsoft Teams Planner
  • Experience coordinating or supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • An understanding of project risks, issues and governance processes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and SharePoint
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
  • Experience supporting cyber security, government, legal/document management or enterprise technology projects would be highly regarded.
