Job Title: Project Contract Manager
Location: Brisbane
Employment Type: Initial 6-month contract

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Project Contract Manager to support the full end-to-end contract life cycle, from presales through operational project execution. This role is crucial in preventing value leakage, maximising value capture, and ensuring contract adherence across all stakeholders, including alignment between customer and supplier contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a strong legal or contractual background, with proven expertise in commercial roles within the Construction, IT, or Telecommunications industries. You will act as a key enabler in implementing commercial strategies under contractual terms and ensuring their successful execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full life-cycle of contracts, from presales to project execution.
  • Ensure contract compliance, risk management, and profitability optimization.
  • Provide post-contract support, including claim management, analysis, drafting, and negotiation.
  • Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions with customers and suppliers.
  • Drive change and identify opportunities for up-selling during contract implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce commercial levers and improve processes.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships while supporting project delivery.

Required Competencies:

  • Solid project management experience (planning, reporting, and process management).
  • Strong understanding of contractual stipulations, enforcement, and commercial implications.
  • Expertise in contract negotiation, claim management, and risk mitigation.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication solutions, services, and industry trends.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer relationship skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of legal, commercial, or contract management experience.
  • Experienced in project and commercial management roles.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with a focus on minimizing risk and optimizing profitability.
  • Experience in Construction (Q.S.), IT, or Telecommunications is highly desirable.
  • Rail and large-scale project experience is an advantage.
