
Programme Manager
Are you an experienced Senior Programme Manager ready to deliver large-scale projects that shape a city’s future? This is your opportunity to lead some of Lower Hutt’s most transformational infrastructure initiatives-from the iconic Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi / RiverLink Programme to City Link Bridge, major Streetscape Improvements, and the Infrastructure Acceleration Fund.
We’re looking for a strategic and collaborative leader to oversee the planning, coordination, and successful delivery of these high-impact programmes. You’ll work closely with a team of skilled Project Managers to ensure projects are seamlessly integrated, risks are managed, resources are well-allocated, and outcomes are aligned with strategic goals.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading a portfolio of high-profile infrastructure projects
- Overseeing end-to-end programme delivery across multiple workstreams
- Engaging and managing stakeholders, from local authorities to community groups
- Navigating change, resolving disruptions, and ensuring clear reporting to governance bodies
- Driving continuous improvement and innovation in programme delivery
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ experience managing complex programmes
- A recognised programme/project management certification (e.g. MSP, MoP, PMP, Prince2, Agile)
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
- Solid background in financial and contract management
- A forward-thinking, proactive approach with a passion for infrastructure that delivers real community outcomes
