Overview of the Position
We are seeking an experienced EL2 Program Manager to lead and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of several cross-functional projects. This role focuses on improving the integrity of a major national programme. Working closely with technical delivery counterparts, change managers, and stakeholders, you will translate programme goals and vision into actionable roadmaps, backlogs, and delivery schedules. The successful candidate will apply agile methodologies to ensure the programme delivers its intended benefits while meeting government milestones.

Duties

  • Communicate the programme vision, goals, and roadmap, ensuring alignment and buy-in from key stakeholders.
  • Manage schedules, resources, risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Establish and maintain project backlogs, prioritise and plan programme increments and iterations with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate reporting, monitor health metrics, and take corrective action to keep government milestones on track.
  • Apply agile principles and practices, including iterative delivery, feedback loops, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, performance, and outcomes, ensuring transparency for all stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day project delivery and communicate effectively with stakeholders in various forums.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing cross-functional projects with a focus on agile methodologies.
  • Extensive experience in delivering and applying agile methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of integrity challenges and opportunities, with the ability to translate them into actionable programme goals.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Proven experience delivering with cross-functional teams across business areas, enabling services, external stakeholders, and technology.
  • Relevant qualifications in Program/Project/Agile methodologies.
  • Strong working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Identity, Payment/Claim Processing, or Integrity.
