Program Architect | 6-Month Contract | Likely Extensions

Melbourne | Hybrid Working (3 Days Office / 2 Days WFH)
We are partnering with an iconic Australian organisation undergoing a significant transformation program and are seeking an experienced Program Architect to join on an initial 6-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping and governing enterprise-wide technology solutions across a complex, large-scale environment. You’ll work closely with senior business and technology stakeholders to ensure architecture outcomes align with strategic objectives while supporting the successful delivery of critical programs.

The Role

As the Program Architect, you will provide architectural leadership across multiple workstreams, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to enterprise standards.
Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and governing end-to-end solution architecture across large transformation initiatives
• Working closely with business leaders, program managers, delivery teams, and vendors to drive architectural outcomes
• Providing strategic direction across applications, integrations, data, and technology platforms
• Managing architectural roadmaps and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles
• Supporting investment decisions through architecture reviews, assessments, and recommendations
• Identifying and mitigating technical risks across complex delivery programs

About You

We’re looking for a seasoned architecture professional who has operated within large enterprise environments and has a proven track record delivering complex transformation programs.
You will bring:

• Extensive experience as a Program Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Lead Solution Architect
• Strong experience working within large-scale enterprise environments
• Demonstrated success delivering complex transformation programs
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at executive level
• Strong understanding of enterprise applications, integration patterns, cloud technologies, and modern architecture practices

Highly desirable:

• Experience within retail, logistics, supply chain, distribution, or customer-facing enterprise organisations
• Experience supporting large-scale operational and digital transformation initiatives
