Contract Daily Rate: $1,189.43 p/day incl. super

Join a transformative initiative aimed at revolutionizing how a major organization delivers new capabilities and modernizes operational systems. This program will replace legacy platforms with an integrated, agile, and scalable architecture, supporting smarter operations, community safety, and organizational excellence.

The Program Architect will be a key leader responsible for developing and overseeing the program’s architecture and solution design. This role involves creating roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, and guiding the technical implementations across multiple projects. The Program Architect will also establish standards, patterns, and methodologies, ensuring future-proof solutions that support strategic organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze current and planned program architectures, ensuring capabilities meet stakeholder needs.
  • Lead the development of the program’s technical and solution architectures, aligning with enterprise architecture frameworks and standards.
  • Define technology platforms, digital solutions, and future capabilities, ensuring scalability and adaptability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including solutions architects and developers, to design and implement solutions within agreed timelines.
  • Liaise with third-party vendors and external partners, providing technical guidance and advocating for solution adoption.
  • Communicate architecture designs clearly to stakeholders and ensure delivery against SLAs and OLAs.
  • Monitor project progress, provide reports, and adjust activities as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Maintain enterprise architecture artifacts using tools such as System Architect, SPARX EA, ARIS, Nintex, or iServer.

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated knowledge of TOGAF (certification highly preferred).
  • 15+ years’ experience in IT, with 10+ years in senior architecture roles, leading projects over $10 million, ideally within government sectors.
  • Large enterprise experience is crucial.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise standards, frameworks, and composable architecture.
  • Extensive experience in defining application, integration, infrastructure, cloud, and network architectures.
  • Proven expertise in:
  • Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Digital technology and development
  • Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Integration architecture (iPaaS, API Gateways, ETL, ESB, REST, JSON, etc.)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid environments
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics, Salesforce, BPM platforms (highly desirable)
  • Emerging technologies, cybersecurity, and ICT trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with senior stakeholder management experience.
  • Data domain expertise preferred but not mandatory; broader enterprise architecture experience also valued.
