Product Owner - Data Platform

We’re partnering with a leading global organisation on a strategic enterprise data initiative and we are seeking an experienced Product Owner to support the evolution of a modern enterprise data and virtualisation platform.

This role is ideal for someone with experience across modern data platforms, semantic layers, distributed query technologies, or enterprise data integration environments who is looking to step into a strategic platform ownership role.

You’ll own and drive platform initiatives that enable scalable, governed, and high-performing access to enterprise data across multiple systems and business domains.

Experience with Denodo is beneficial but not required as training and support will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product backlog for the enterprise data platform
  • Define and prioritise features aligned to business and data strategy goals
  • Collaborate with technical teams on logical data models, virtual views, and federated data access
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions
  • Drive stakeholder engagement across business and technical teams
  • Support performance optimisation, governance, and platform adoption
  • Work across multiple enterprise data sources and cloud platforms
  • Contribute to roadmap planning and continuous platform improvement

Experience

  • Experience as a Product Owner, Platform Owner, Business Analyst, or Delivery Lead within enterprise data environments
  • Strong understanding of modern data platforms and enterprise data ecosystems
  • Experience working with multiple data sources, integration patterns, APIs, or semantic data layers
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience delivering within Agile environments
  • Strong SQL and data modelling capability
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical outcomes

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to Denodo
  • FMCG or large enterprise experience
  • Consulting or client-facing delivery experience
  • Microsoft data platform exposure
