Product Owner | Security Systems & Enterprise Capability Uplift

• Location: ACT (Onsite)
• Security Clearance: NV1 (Mandatory)
• Contract Length: 12 months + 12-month extension (Department discretion)

About the position:

This Product Owner role sits within a security-focused portfolio supporting business systems used by protected environment security functions across Australia and international missions.

The work is not product experimentation it is structured, governance-aligned system enhancement within a regulated government environment. You will be responsible for shaping product direction, refining delivery priorities, and ensuring technology outcomes align to operational security requirements.

What you’ll do:

• Define and evolve product vision, roadmap, and backlog aligned to strategic security objectives
• Translate stakeholder needs into prioritised, value-driven product increments
• Work closely with ICT delivery partners to ensure clear requirements and delivery alignment
• Monitor product performance and adjust priorities based on measurable outcomes

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience operating as a Product Owner within complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and structured backlog management
• Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining delivery clarity
• Confident communication skills across operational, technical, and executive stakeholders
