Procurement Specialist & Procurement Lead (Australian Citizen Only)
Role Overview
This role plays a critical part in delivering successful digital transformation outcomes by leading sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier management activities. Operating in a complex environment, you’ll balance commercial outcomes, risk management and strong stakeholder relationships to ensure suppliers deliver real value.
You’ll work closely with senior leaders, project teams and subject matter experts to drive best-practice procurement and contract governance from sourcing through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing
* Lead competitive and sole-source procurement processes
* Down-select preferred suppliers and prepare them for negotiation
* Ensure sourcing decisions are defensible, transparent and value-driven
Contract Negotiation
* Develop and gain approval for structured negotiation plans
* Lead negotiations alongside project teams and SMEs
* Deliver outcomes that balance commercial value, risk mitigation and delivery certainty
* Keep stakeholders informed and escalate issues when required
Stakeholder Management
* Maintain strong relationships with procurement leadership and project stakeholders
* Communicate clearly and proactively to avoid surprises
* Use escalation pathways effectively to resolve issues and unblock progress
* Support long-term, productive working relationships throughout the contract lifecycle
Contract Management & Governance
* Ensure suppliers meet contractual obligations and performance expectations
* Support timely delivery of services and key deliverables
* Manage supplier change requests and variations
* Hold suppliers accountable for scope, costs, payments and engagement standards
