Talent International is currently recruiting a Procurement Manager x 5 to work for the NSW Government, based in Parramatta (Hybrid). This is a 4-month contract role with the possibility of extension, paying between $700 to $1100/day plus Super.

8 hours per day/ 38 hours per week

About the Role

As a Procurement Manager, you will play a key role within the Procurement Services team, delivering end-to-end sourcing and category management outcomes. This position focuses on the Plan and Source stages, driving strategic procurement initiatives and ensuring value-for-money outcomes across complex projects.

You will work across multiple business units and categories, providing expert advice, leading sourcing strategies, and delivering commercial results in a fast-paced government environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities including RFx, evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution
  • Engage with stakeholders to deliver value-for-money outcomes while managing risk and compliance
  • Conduct market analysis and supplier engagement to inform procurement strategies
  • Provide strategic procurement advice and act as a trusted business partner
  • Lead and mentor team members, driving capability uplift and performance
  • Ensure compliance with NSW Government procurement policies and frameworks
  • Identify and manage procurement risks, ensuring successful project delivery

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering procurement and category management services within NSW Government.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills in complex environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading sourcing activities and commercial negotiations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Sound knowledge of the NSW Government Procurement Framework.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
