About the Role
As a Procurement and Contract Management Specialist, you will be instrumental in managing ICT procurement activities, streamlining processes, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. You will work closely with the Program Manager and Procurement Lead, leading initiatives that contribute to the VMO’s objectives. This role will challenge you to innovate within procurement practices while providing a strong support structure for team collaboration and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and management of ICT procurement activities.
- Provide expert procurement advice and strategic sourcing guidance.
- Collaborate with a team to ensure delivery of high-quality outputs.
- Draft procedural and governance procurement documentation.
- Facilitate procurement probity and industry briefings.
- Identify innovative procurement practices and opportunities.
- Administer contract management plans and undertake general contract responsibilities.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
- High-level expertise in procurement within complex program environments.
- Solid understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and relevant legislation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- Ability to evaluate risks and communicate effectively in a dynamic context.
Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in procurement or a related discipline is preferred.

- Work Rights: Australian citizens only.
- Security Clearance: Must have an active Baseline security clearance before commencement.
