
Procurement Advisor
This is a standalone role part of a growing, innovative business. Despite their growth, they are values led, multi-award winning and have strong foundations. This is a permanent, full time role with a requirement to work 5 days per week on-site in the CBD.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement process across the business, including in depth analysis of materials purchasing, and developing purchasing recommendations for new and existing purchasing agreements with a focus on sustainability.
- Management of existing and new key supplier / trade relationships.
- Manage compliance and adherence to existing client rate agreements.
- Develop and execute supplier implementation plans and manage performance.
- Responsible for composing, evaluating, and negotiating contracts and improvement plans with key suppliers.
- Negotiate trading terms and supplier agreements, including volume rebates and preferential purchasing
- Oversee compliance audits and the monitoring of supplier solvency.
- Maintain accurate records and National price files, communicate and train staff accordingly.
Key Requirements
- Experience with trade management & sourcing in insurance construction (ideal but not necessary)
- Understanding of relevant Building codes and Australian standards and State based legislation.
- Experience in interacting with multiple stakeholders at different levels
- High level systems literacy and ability to maintain a digital pricing/rates database.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to tackle multiple tasks simultaneously with excellent time management.
- Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives.
