The Principal – Outsourced Infrastructure leads the commercial development, execution, and optimisation of outsourced infrastructure projects. The role ensures all third-party infrastructure solutions deliver commercial value, operational efficiency, and sustainability in line with organisational and regulatory objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial strategy for outsourced infrastructure projects
  • Develop and implement procurement frameworks and contracting strategies
  • Support opportunity framing, business case development, and execution planning
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and act as a trusted commercial advisor
  • Manage contract performance and reporting through SAP and contract systems
  • Leverage financial models to support investment decisions and negotiations
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the client’s Operating Model
  • Ensure compliance with governance, risk, and sustainability standards
  • Oversee contractor performance and contribute to project community outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Economics, Engineering, or Law
  • Proven experience in large-scale project delivery and commercial management
  • Expertise in contract models including BOO(T), BOOM, PPP, or JV structures
  • Strong financial modelling and negotiation skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
