Our client is seeking a Principal Identity Architect and lead the transformation of their cutting-edge Identity and Access Management (IDAM) platform. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of secure, seamless digital banking experiences by designing and delivering innovative, token-centric authentication solutions that set industry standards.
In this strategic role, you will craft the target architecture for a cloud-native identity ecosystem centered on carrier tokenisation and just-in-time authentication.

Your expertise will drive the acceleration of tokenisation initiatives, optimise non-human identity management, and establish governance frameworks to ensure compliance and security. You will provide visionary technical leadership, mentoring distributed teams across the Asia-Pacific region, and influencing executive stakeholders with your deep domain knowledge and innovative ideas.

Required Skills:

  • Over 10 years of experience in Identity & Access Management architecture and engineering on large scale enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in token-based authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, FIDO2/WebAuthn) and carrier tokenisation concepts
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) as a primary identity platform
  • Proven track record designing cloud-native, scalable identity solutions at enterprise scale
  • Experience managing non-human identities, secrets, and credentials (workload identities, API credentials, certificates)
  • Hands-on familiarity with identity governance systems, particularly SailPoint IdentityNow or IdentityIQ
  • Experience working within heavily regulated financial environments, including audit remediation and compliance
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and guide geographically distributed teams

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with CyberArk Privileged Access Management
  • Familiarity with JIT access provisioning and zero-standing-privilege models
  • SDK design and developer experience for onboarding identity platforms
  • Prior background in Australian banking or financial services regulatory frameworks

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • At least 10+ years in enterprise identity architecture roles, with a focus on innovative authentication methods and cloud-native deployments

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to collaborate across global teams and participate in strategic planning sessions
