Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, have been engaged by our long standing client, an international Music and Entertainment organisation. We are seeking a Principal Engineer – AI and Automation, to pioneer AI and Automation across their global technology function.

Salary: $220,000 incl super + 15% annual bonus

Role Details:

  • Own and execute the enterprise AI and automation strategy for Technology Operations, aligning initiatives to business outcomes and long-term platform maturity.
  • Architect, build, and govern end-to-end AI-driven (agentic) automation solutions, taking concepts from ideation through production, adoption, and continuous optimisation.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritise high-impact use cases where AI can materially reduce operational complexity, accelerate incident response, and deliver measurable efficiency and reliability gains.
  • Partner with senior technology leaders and delivery teams to embed AI and automation into core platforms and operational workflows, ensuring sustained adoption, value realisation, and scalability.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight across AI and automation initiatives, including vendor strategy, platform selection, and architectural standards, within a complex, global environment.

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • 10+ years of experience in the IT operations industry
  • Demonstrated experience designing or delivering AI-driven, Machine Learning or intelligent automation solutions, with a focus on real-world adoption and outcomes
  • Ability to operate at a senior, principal level with a consultative approach, confidently influencing fellow leaders and stakeholders and driving adoption across global teams
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Service, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Zapier, Microsoft Power Automate, and ActiveCampaign.
