Opportunity

Long-term federal government contract with 12-month initial term and ongoing extension opportunities. Great workplace flexibility with a hybrid work from home model, 7.5 hours per day which can be based in Richmond or Geelong. The Agency’s Technology Services Division (TSD) operates the largest Salesforce implementation in the public sector, multiple digital assets, operates 100% in the cloud using a SAFe Agile model. There are presently multiple transformation programs in play including operational reform, datalake migrations, cyber and fraud, along with the insourcing of its digital apps, so it is an exciting time to join.

Role

You’ll be managing the Mobilisation and Standards Team within a Platforms Branch, working with Directors and Assistant Directors to establish and enable projects and drive successful programs.

Key tasks:

  • Establish and manage the operation of the team’s activities.
  • Strategise and manage resource demand & supply, and onboarding & offboarding activities for the Branch.
  • Capture and analyse resource budget and overall financial planning
  • Contribute to procurement
  • Drive improvements and uplift capabilities on “how we work” according to project management principles and tools (Clarizen, Confluence & Jira…)
  • Develop and implement robust processes and streamline activities
  • Oversee the administration of governance, risks & issues controls, and reports to key stakeholders.
  • Be a Clarizen champion
  • Provide training and advice on best practice in the use of Clarizen
  • Foster a positive culture and create a point of contact for the team, providing leadership and mentoring to the team.

About You

  • Strong track record in branch/team establishment of process and operating rhythm
  • Demonstrated proven experience in project/program management (Prince2, PMBOK, SAFe Agile, P3O)
  • Resources & budget management
  • Demonstrated proven experience in procurement of services
  • Demonstrated direct experience using Confluence and JIRA at administrator level
  • Clarizen, nice to have
  • Proof of Australian Citizenship and ability to secure AGSVA Baseline clearance
