
PMO Lead // Enterprise level
Our client is looking for a PMO Lead at an enterprise level in the Financial Services or Banking sector. They are seeking an experienced PMO Lead to establish, manage, and mature the Project Management Office (PMO) at an enterprise level. The PMO Lead will play a pivotal role in driving governance, portfolio oversight, resource planning, and delivery assurance across complex transformation and business initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can balance enterprise-wide priorities with hands-on delivery support.
Responsibilities

Define, implement, and enhance PMO frameworks, standards, and best practices to align with enterprise objectives.

Drive consistent project and program management methodologies across the organization.

Oversee portfolio governance forums and ensure effective decision-making.

Manage enterprise-wide portfolio planning, prioritisation, and investment analysis.

Monitor program and project performance against objectives, KPIs, and budgets.

Provide visibility of risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes to executive leadership.

Ensure that all programs/projects deliver value in line with business strategies.

Conduct quality reviews, health checks, and benefits tracking.

Proactively resolve delivery challenges and escalations.

Lead and mentor a team of PMO analysts, coordinators, and portfolio managers.

Partner with executives, business leaders, and technology teams to align portfolio delivery with strategic goals.

Act as a trusted advisor to C-suite stakeholders, influencing strategic decision-making.

Deliver accurate and timely portfolio reporting, dashboards, and insights for senior leadership and governance bodies.

Enable data-driven decision-making through portfolio performance analytics.
Requirements

Proven experience (10+ years) in a PMO leadership role at enterprise scale in Financial Services or Banking – A MUST to HAVE.
- Experience in large, complex organizations – A MUST to HAVE.

Strong understanding of portfolio governance, project delivery methodologies (Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall), and transformation frameworks.

Demonstrated ability to establish and mature enterprise-level PMOs.

Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills at C-suite and board level.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.

Relevant certifications (PMP, PgMP, MSP, SAFe, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred.
