About the Client

Our client is a Federal Government agency responsible for Australia’s weather, climate, water, oceans and space weather services. Through the Australian Climate Service (ACS), the agency brings together expertise from the Bureau of Meteorology, CSIRO, Geoscience Australia and the Australian Bureau of Statistics to help governments, industry and communities better prepare for climate and natural hazard risks.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced PMO and Business Delivery Coordinator to support the Australian Climate Service Program Management Office.
Working across governance, project delivery, business analysis and product release management, you’ll coordinate activities throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are well governed, stakeholders remain informed, risks are managed, and delivery milestones are achieved. This role works closely with Program Managers, Project Managers, Product Owners and Business Analysts across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project delivery from initiation through to implementation and closure.
  • Support PMO governance, reporting and program administration.
  • Maintain project plans, risks, issues, actions, dependencies and change registers.
  • Coordinate product release activities, implementation readiness and Go/No-Go processes.
  • Prepare governance papers, reports, presentations and stakeholder communications.
  • Support SharePoint, Confluence and project documentation management.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of governance, PMO and delivery practices.
  • Build strong relationships across business, technical and executive stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

We’re looking for candidates with experience in:

  • PMO, Project Coordination or Business Delivery within complex programs.
  • Project governance, reporting and delivery coordination.
  • Product or technology release management.
  • Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Planner, SharePoint and Microsoft 365.
  • Stakeholder engagement across business and technical teams.
  • Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments.

Highly regarded:

  • Power BI
  • Power Automate
  • Australian Government or APS experience
  • Knowledge of Commonwealth governance frameworks including CPRs and the PGPA Act
  • Digital, technology or climate-related program experience.

Working Arrangements

  • Location: Melbourne (preferred), Canberra or Brisbane.
  • Flexible and remote working arrangements may be available in accordance with Bureau policies and operational requirements.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be able to obtain a satisfactory Police Check.
  • Be available to commence in late July / early August 2026.
  • Have strong written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
