PeoplSoft Functional Analyst
We are seeking a Senior Functional Analyst for a high-impact initiative aimed at enhancing the enrolment experience for thousands of students for a leading Australian University.
About the Role
As a Senior Functional Analyst, you’ll be a key contributor to the project’s success, working with cross-functional teams to design and deliver innovative solutions aligned with the university’s strategic vision. You’ll bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, ensuring functional design excellence, user experience, and system optimisation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver functional specifications.
- Ensure optimal user experience through thoughtful and accessible functional design.
- Translate business needs into high-quality solutions within a structured SDLC environment.
- Define and manage UAT testing scenarios and support quality assurance activities.
- Provide expert consultative advice and regular progress updates to stakeholders at all levels.
- Maintain configuration documentation and support change management processes.
Skills and experience
- Minimum 5 years of functional experience with Oracle PeopleSoft (including Fluid UI).
- Strong SQL skills – an asset in navigating and analysing data.
- Proven ability to lead complex analysis and deliver actionable outcomes.
- Strong understanding of the student lifecycle and higher education context (highly desirable).
- Experience across the SDLC and in both agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Strong documentation and requirements gathering expertise.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly to change.
