
People Services Manager
The Role
A State Government department is seeking a People Services Manager to lead a dynamic team responsible for delivering the full range of HR services including recruitment, employee relations, wellbeing, performance, and compliance. The role will oversee HR operations and initiatives that support a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace. This is a 12 month contract with a potential to extend.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a small team delivering HR operations and advisory support.
- Provide expert advice on employee relations, performance, and policy compliance.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning processes.
- Support health, safety, wellbeing, and return-to-work programs.
- Drive HR reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.
- Proven HR leadership experience within the public sector or complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, ER/IR, and policy frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end HR operations.
- Ability to lead a high-performing HR team with empathy and accountability.
