Payroll Team Leader
Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, have been engaged by our long-standing client, a leading organisation within the healthcare sector. We are seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to support and strengthen their payroll function.
Role Title: Payroll Team Leader
Location + WFH Flexibility: Macquarie Park | Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days WFH (4-5 days during payroll week)
Salary: $137,000 + super
Project: Supporting payroll operations and assisting with an upcoming payroll system transition

Role Details:
* Lead and mentor the payroll team while supporting the Head of Payroll with day-to-day operational management.
* Manage and oversee end-to-end payroll processing across Australian and New Zealand employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Provide strong technical payroll guidance and assist with complex payroll calculations including terminations, tax, superannuation and leave entitlements.
* Support the payroll team through an upcoming system transition across the organisation’s clinics.
* Ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation including Fair Work, Superannuation Guarantee and NZ Holidays Act requirements.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders across HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and process improvement.
Required Skills and Experiences:
* Approximately 7+ years payroll experience with strong exposure to AU and NZ payroll.
* Experience in a leadership, mentoring or senior payroll capacity within a payroll team.
* Strong technical payroll capability including manual calculation of long service leave, termination payments, superannuation and NZ Holidays Act calculations.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to resolve complex payroll queries.
* Strong stakeholder communication and team collaboration skills.

* Micropay
* Humanforce
* HR3
